What to Expect

Please arrive to class a few minutes early so that you have time to settle in and let your teacher know about any injuries or concerns you may have. Cell phones should be turned to silent, off or airplane mode and left with the rest of your belongings while class is in session. Please let your teacher know beforehand if you know you will not be able to stay for the duration of class.

What to wear?

Comfortable clothes that allow you to move without restriction or discomfort are ideal. A t-shirt and sweatpants, pajamas or leggings are all fine. Yoga is practiced in bare feet to prevent us from slipping on our mats and so that we have the full range of motion of our feet.

What to bring?

Bring a yoga mat (if you have one), a water bottle and an open mind. That’s it! If you like, we can recommend a great yoga mat for your budget. We also provide yoga mats and props for your convenience to use during class.

About that other stuff…

Depending on the instructor, there may be varying degrees of meditation, chanting and sanskrit infused into the class to express the art and science of yoga beyond its physical aspects. Its okay if not everything we say makes sense right away. You’ll get the hang of it the more you come to class, and keep in mind that we love to teach, so if you have any questions about anything we’ve mentioned, just ask!
